Planning Strategy:
Palestra Green will become a new public commons embraced by a perimeter tree canopy that frames a welcoming lawn in front of the Palestra. Formally planted ornamental trees will welcome pedestrians from Locust and Smith Walks, filter the quiet green from the urban street, and lead users into the heart of space.
Program:
The green space will create a variety of shaded and sunny places for informal play and leisure.
